Beau did eventually succumb to the cancer. He developed a strange twitch when u stroked him in his last weeks and then one day I noticed him struggling for breathe. He was very scared bless him so I took him to the vet and they did a quick scan on his chest and it showed something in his lungs. At this point beaus breathing wasn’t great at all and rather than put him through another CT scan just to confirm the cancer was in his lungs I decided it was time to let beau go. Hardest day of my life. Nothing will replace him and I’ll never forget my beautiful giant.
Beau incredibly lived over a year with osteosarcoma with no amputation or chemo. He truly was a warrior and I hope if you’re reading this and are in a similar situation. No decision is wrong, trust your gut and treat them like the angels they are. Without hope, what do we have left?
Love you always Beau (beans)
Ohhhhhh. I’m so very sorry, my deepest condolences to you. Beau DID fight the good fight and what a miracle boy he was, and always will be. Tripawd Warrior Beau will never be forgotten.
I remember Beau and his beautiful parrot friend, and how strong you two were when you found out his leg needed to go. Looking back I see that he met your son too. What a gift! If you have more photos of him over the last couple of years please do share if you can, we would love to see them.
You have our deepest condolences. Tank you for taking time to come and let us know that Beau got his wings. He’s in good company with our Tripawd heroes, no doubt they are all having one big pawty at the Bridge, lighting up the heavens with big bright starlight guiding us here on earth.
